The Industry Development Program (IDP) works to identify and facilitate investment in projects that capitalize on the competitive and comparative business advantages Montana offers. Since the program's inception, IDP successes represent over 4.5 billion dollars of investment into Montana’s economy adding value to the state’s natural resources, creating good paying jobs and bolstering the tax base.  IDP is part of the Research and Information Services Bureau (RIS).
